FPB 64 – Buffalo Nickel

Buffalo Nickel is hull number 7 of the revolutionary ocean crossing FPB series designed by Steve and Linda Dashew and build in New Zealand by Circa Marine and Industrial. Original owners are offering her for sale while they await the completion of their new FPB 70.

Listing broker, Jeff Merrill, flew to New Zealand in late June, 2016 to spend time with the owners aboard Buffalo Nickel. This visit lasted several days and allowed Jeff to crawl all over the boat, taking pictures and asking questions to increase his product knowledge of the FPB brand and Buffalo Nickel.  The trip included sea trials with potential buyers and a visit to the Circa yard, the builders of these beautiful aluminum trawlers, where Jeff was also able to inspect FPB’s under construction. The timing coincided with the launch party for Steve and Linda Dashews’ new FPB 78 Cochise and a real highlight for Jeff was time spent talking with the Dashews’ about their experience and philosophy in creating the FPB brand.  Buffalo Nickel is truly an extraordinary cruising platform and she is in a class by herself at the top of the list of owner/operator long distance passage makers.  Please email or call Jeff if you are interested in learning more and / or would like to receive additional photos and details.
