The Trawler Market continues to gain momentum and PassageMaker magazine recently interviewed three expert yacht brokers to get their take on the current status. Jeff Merrill was interviewed along with Jason Dunbar from Luke Brown Yachts and Kevin Althoff from Burr Yachts.
This is a short piece on the current market situation, and it does seem to all of us at JMYS that not only are trawlers here to stay, but they continue to grow in popularity. Jeff is quoted in the article as saying, “It’s a fast moving market when the right boat is available at the right price”.
Another angle that is mentioned in the article is private deals, “We’ve done five private sales this year, the boat never came on the market…” this underscores the importance of working with a brokerage team who knows what you are looking for and can actively seek out the right trawler for you to acquire.
