Jordan grew up in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, surrounded by rivers, lakes and streams. During her youth, she spent many weekends and summers traveling to both Cherokee Lake in Tennessee and Lake Santeelah in North Carolina, learning the ropes on the family boat. She also loved her many fishing excursions in Jekyll Island, GA along the Intracoastal Waterway. Motivated by a lifelong interest in boating, she earned her NC boating license after completing a certified course, preparing to take the helm of her parents’ Cuddy Cabin on Cherokee Lake.

Jordan graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2020 with a degree from the Haslam College of Business in Marketing with a focus concentration in Entrepreneurship. During and after her time in college, Jordan worked with many tourism based startups and community organizations, most notably AVLtoday and Explore Asheville. Being born in a tourist town, Jordan loved sharing exciting spots for others to adventure and make memories in – especially if those memories included a tasty local eatery. 

Post graduation, she moved to Pensacola, Florida and got married to her husband soon after. Jordan spent many weekends on the water kayaking or going out on the water, creating content as the Social Media Manager for Visit Pensacola. Only a short year after moving to Pensacola, her and her husband packed up to move to Corpus Christi, TX. Not too much later, they packed out their house to move to Okinawa, Japan – such is the Marine Corps life!

Based in Okinawa, Japan, Jordan spends her time discovering the island’s scenic spots, hiking, and tasting local flavors. She also teaches English and is learning Japanese, embracing every part of island life. Lately, she’s been customizing her restored 1996 Suzuki Jimny for camping trips and hikes with her Boxer dog, Obi – with plans to get him hooked on kayaking next.

Jordan joined JMYS in April 2025 and is excited to leverage her years of marketing strategy experience to drive growth for the company.
