Jeff was a panelist for the first CPYB Broker’s Brunch webinar of the year held January 13th via Zoom.

Joined by Kevin Marinelli and Scott MacCrimmon (fellow CPYB’s from Ontario) the three hosted a two hour “Brokers Brunch” to help share their experiences regarding the paperwork involved in listing and selling yachts.

The enthusiastic brokers who were listening in from across North America were able to pick up two hours of continuing education toward CPYB certificate renewal. Some great questions were asked in the chat and answered on the spot, adding valuable discussion to the course.

The title of the talk was “What to manage in every deal” and the PowerPoint discussion topics were spread over 40 slides filled with important bullet points the speakers elaborated on. Scott, Kevin and Jeff reviewed all of the different associations documents; listing agreements, purchase and sale agreements, co-op’s, counter offers, closing paperwork, etc. and spent considerable time coordinating this talk over the last few months of 2024.

The PPT presentation is available online to all CPYB’s with a log-in.  Any CPYB who missed it live can sign up to review the content and earn the continuing education credits by answering questions prepared by the panelists.

Thank you to several attendees who wrote “thank you” emails to the presenters after the event. This feedback is very rewarding to the presenters, and helpful in deciding which topics to present to future CPYB’s.

The CPYB (Certified Professional Yacht Broker) credential is widely recognized by members in the marine industry as the top of the line in broker education, ethics and professionalism.  Information is available on www.CPYB.net.   The program is over twenty years old and there are more than 400 CPYB’s worldwide.
