Pegasus is a 2007 Blaine Seeley designed Seahorse 52 built in Zhuhai, China.  She is hull number 21 of this very popular series.  If you have a desire to own and cruise on one of the best equipped and meticulously maintained Seahorse 52’s, then you may have found your ride!  She is offered for sale by her second owners who have cruised her for the past 7 years.  Pegasus has been put on the market so that her sellers can attend to other interests.

Pegasus is a wide body, two-stateroom 52’ Long Range Cruiser with flybridge that has been owned and operated by an experienced cruising couple.  She has been exceptionally cared for with many upgrades and improvement to keep her looking and showing like a much younger boat.

Pegasus is powered by twin John Deere 4045TFM75 mains, and features include: Sea Gyro stabilizer with dedicated Magnum 230V pure sine wave inverter, Sidepower SP 95 24VDC bow thruster, a 9kW Northern Lights generator and an Offshore Marine Labs Sea Quencher 200 GPD 24V watermaker with new membranes installed in 2016.

In September 2017 during a thorough inspection by the sellers to prepare Pegasus for sale, the owners uncovered a problem with their port main engine and called in an experienced diesel mechanic.  The diagnosis was that a preventable operator error while cruising had resulted in significant seawater ingress to the engine resulting in serious damage. Consequently the port engine was replaced with a factory reconditioned “like new” engine at a cost of over $35,000. The starboard engine had similar, but much less significant, damage and it was rebuilt, the invoice totaling just under $20,000.  Pegasus now has two engines that have been rebuilt with mostly new components. The engines have been tested under load during sea trials and she has never run better.  Invoice summary available to interested buyers on request.

Pegasus is located in Florida and she is ready to take you offshore to explore far away exotic lands, comfortably, safely and economically.
