It has been a few months since we sent out a general email update, time to fix that. Last year we added some new personnel to broaden our reach (Rob Piwowarczyk in California and Elle Conwell in Texas).

Christopher Bruce had a great December with the Kadey Krogen brand in Florida, quickly selling two of his listings; the Krogen 39 Debadoo and his own Krogen 44, Sweet Ride. Our team has been active traveling to surveys, shows, and working on some new trawler listings. The JMYS inventory of brokerage trawlers is continually evolving, and just as quickly as one boat is sold, we seem fortunate enough to be approached by another seller wanting us to market their trawler.

We do try to share new listings with our loyal clients first, in advance of public announcements. Hopefully you have been receiving our early notice listing email flyers. We have one new signing; the Willard 40 Aloha in California.  Aloha is nearing the final stages of marketing photos and write-ups that we will be sharing with you soon. (If you can’t wait, please call Rob to discuss Aloha).

To kick off the new year we refreshed the JMYS.com website by adding more photos and improving our content. One new section you may find helpful is called TrawlerTools. It can be found as a drop down in the TrawlerSkills tab and includes: an Ocean Navigator magazine article, PDF tool list download, tool photos and a video.

Thank you for watching our YouTube videos! We continue to attract a lot of views (over 1,000,000) and we have several more in production. In addition to trying to shoot one for each new listing, we have received a lot of favorable encouragement to create more TrawlerSkills videos like our Physics of Docking series and instructional systems reviews.

We like sharing social media topics and regularly post on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – another way you can keep in touch. Find direct links below.

Jeff was in Seattle last week to attend the Lake Union Boats Afloat show with clients and will be in Florida soon to visit the Miami show. Our next big event is the Stuart, FL TrawlerFest (March 7 -9 – details below) where we will display the Nordhavn 47 NaviGator. Alexandra and Christopher Bruce are involved in two presentations, Jeff is also giving two talks and moderating the Cruisers Perspectives Forum. Please call if you plan to be in Florida for TrawlerFest so we can set aside some time to catch up.

The trawler market remains very fluid, there is a lot of activity and that benefits both buyers and sellers. The “sellers’ market” we have been experiencing over the past 18 months seems to be shifting slightly to a “buyer’s market”, so if you have been patiently waiting for a great opportunity to make your move, you may be rewarded.

The idea of owning a trawler and going out cruising continues to intrigue more people each day and we see no end to this trend. What could be better than operating your own trawler with family and friends aboard to travel, explore and seek adventure?

Thanks for your interest, we hope to see you soon at a show or on the docks.

Cheers,

Andy, Christopher, Elle, John, Rob and Jeff
