Ocean Navigator is a dedicated magazine that focuses on offshore boating. Earlier in my career, as vice president of sales and marketing for cruising sailboat builder Pacific Seacraft, I became aware of what a unique perspective that Ocean Navigator provides for their readers. I’ve been a long time subscriber and look forward to each new issue as there are always a great number of interesting ideas and timely information; it helps to keep me sharp! Their readership audience is experienced and knowledgeable – savvy sailors – and each issue has a great collection of timely articles to read. In July of 2013 I was contacted by the editor, Tim Queeney, who while looking over the schedule for the Baltimore TrawlerFest, saw I was presenting a seminar called “Dialing in your trawler,” and asked if I might like to write a story on this subject for Ocean Navigator. Honored and humbled I wrote my first piece including a bunch of practical tips for the Power Voyaging column. Tim requested more and the “Dialing in your trawler” series continues to be a productive creative outlet where I can share some of the great ideas I have learned while boating with my clients. If you are not already a subscriber to Ocean Navigator I would encourage you to sign up. www.oceannavigator.com is an informative website with archived articles, blogs, current events and classes.
Jeff Merrill is pleased to continue writing his popular “Dialing-In” your Trawler Series for the pages of Ocean Navigator magazine in 2015 and flattered with the announcement posted below and on the Ocean Navigator website.
