November is a transition month as the busy year aims towards the finish line and families start to think about the holiday gatherings. We completed the Baltimore TrawlerFest in September and spent time in Fort Lauderdale at the FLIBS.
Our entire sales team has been actively listing and selling tugs and trawlers.
JMYS continues to grow and we are very pleased to have added the talents of Kelly Libby and Greg Mustari on our team based in Anacortes, WA. Greg and Kelly have introduced our audience to a series of great value Nordic Tugs and other smaller tugs and trawlers. They have closed a Swift Trawler 44, Sundowner Tug, some Nordic Tugs and they have several other deals in the works. Their current listings include: Nordic Tug 42 Nordic Quest, Nordic Tug 37 Stella Maris, (2) Nordic Tug 32’s Evening Star and Explorer, Camano 31 Sasta and Nordic Tug 26 Harpoon. They are always on the go showing boats and meeting with clients, it seems that they have something on their schedules seven days a week. If you want to do some cruising in one of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world, get in touch with them.
Andy Nemier has been working in Australia on a custom aluminum power trimaran purchase project for one of our US clients. He and his wife Julie are spending much of their time aboard their Nordhavn 62 Infinity in the lovely waters down under.
Rob Piwowarczyk closed on a Selene 43 and Seahorse 52 and is regularly showing his listings in CA including the Navigator 5100 Serenade and the Willard 40 Aloha. He and his wife Deanna recently arrived in Cabo San Lucas completing the CUBAR rally aboard their Selene 55 in the company of many other adventurous trawler owners.
Christopher Bruce arranged a private sale of a Kadey Krogen 44 and has a small fleet of ocean-ready trawlers listed in Florida such as the Krogen 48 Klassy Kady, Krogen 55 Olympia and Selene 56 Spyhop II. All three have popular videos posted on our YouTube channel and with the end of hurricane season upon us they are all in the water and available for inspection by appointment. He has also listed the Krogen 44 Sweet Ride(his former boat) which was recently posted online.

Jeff Merrill continues to spend a lot of his time flying back and forth between coasts to meet with clients. In August he and Pam enjoyed a weeklong cruise in Maine with Bruce and Joan Kessler aboard their incredible Northern Marine 62, Spirit of Zopilote. Jeff has also completed some “private sales” on trawlers that never made it on to the public marketplace – we always have ready buyers who we connect with willing sellers. We do try to share new listings with our loyal clients first, via email flyers, in advance of public announcements.
To kick off 2020, we plan to attend the January Lake Union Boats Afloat Show (and hopefully have a boat or two on display). It looks like this will be the last hurrah at the Chandlers Cove location due to real estate development along the changing Seattle waterfront. For US west coast boaters this show is a great one to attend if you want to see a variety of tugs and trawlers in one of the best boater friendly cities in the world.
